Start the shift and make the rounds. Filth is creeping. Tension mounts. Grimy forms all seek the sterile. Just can’t shake that clinic smell. Shower off the day. A constant need to feel clean. Get clean, be clean. Scrub the skin until there is none left. Get clean.

5. Seepage

Seepage: unconfined. Skin is swollen, cracks and fails. Pus and plasma find the tiles. Quarantined. Cellulitis. Once contact is made, you’re done.

At testing station. Stay thoughtless. Static. Moveless//move less. Sheet covers face. Body still serves.

7. Solution

A solution to every problem. Post-war distribution of poorly made prosthetic limbs. First world wars/third world men. The maimed do not forget. A broken finger can still point.
